The Tinnitus Clinic began in Harley Street, London with a single clinic and now provides services across the UK. The Tinnitus Clinic is the only CQC registered service based on Harley Street, providing you with the knowledge that treatments are safe and effective. As well as the Harley Street location, there are Tinnitus Clinics in Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds, Leicester and Manchester.
The Tinnitus Clinic was the first to offer video appointments for tinnitus and is proud to be able to offer a full telecare service for most tinnitus patients. A full assessment is always preferable but for those patients who are unable to reach the clinic it may be possible to provide entirely remote assessment and treatment.
The video assessment is also useful for those patient who are as yet unsure about progressing to treatment, and are seeking self-management and as assessment of their prognosis.
The Tinnitus Clinic only utilises treatments and pathways which are evidence based. Their principle treatment, Tinnitus Desensitisation Therapy™ is only available at The Tinnitus Clinic and uses hearing devices to management hearing loss, while reducing tinnitus symptoms with integrated sound therapy.
Most of their patients undertake treatment with a device, which helps with hearing loss and reduces tinnitus symptoms.
However, they are pleased to be able to provide therapy designed by Dr Julianne Mullen, an integrative therapist with a special interest in tinnitus.

Treatments can be paid in full, through private medical insurance or by applying for 0% finance for which a UK bank account is needed. More information can be found on their website.
Whether you are living with tinnitus, hyperacusis or looking for an expert view on the right hearing device, the first step is to undergo a full assessment.
At your Initial Assessment, one of our expert audiologists will review your relevant medical history and perform a range of diagnostic tests to assess your tinnitus and audiological profile. These tests are designed to diagnose your tinnitus type, pinpoint your tinnitus tone and identify any associated hearing loss that may be exacerbating the impact of your condition.
Your audiologist will discuss the treatment options available to you and the likely prognosis following treatment. There will also be plenty of time for you to ask questions and explore self-help techniques.
“It was the best and most encouraging consultation I have had since the onset of my tinnitus. The condition and more importantly for me, the long term prognosis, was explained clearly and authoritatively which was very encouraging. Not an overnight fix, but some hope for a normal life in the future. I have decided to proceed with Mark's recommendation.” John Millar, Harley Street patient.
A study has shown that x% of people wait five years or more from the onset of hearing loss, before they seek out a suitable hearing device. How different this is from spectacles, where we would never consider waiting five years to be able to see properly.
Tinnitus clinics can provide a hearing device to suit you, and your budget.
With more and more extras to choose from for television, telephone and listening in noisy environments, making a choice can be complicated. But their experts will help you navigate to find the best solution for you.
Tinnitus Desensitisation Therapy™ (TDT) is a therapeutic pathway specially designed by The Tinnitus Clinic for patients who suffer with invasive tinnitus. TDT provides you with a range of therapies that are selected specially to meet your personal requirements.
Using your tinnitus acoustic profile and your very personal experience of tinnitus, Tinnitus Desensitisation Therapy uses a number of distinct therapeutic techniques together. These serve to control your tinnitus awareness with the long term goal of encouraging the brain to filter out the tinnitus perception from your consciousness. This filtering process is known as habituation.
TDT helps you to take control of the impact that tinnitus is having on your life. The therapy aims to redirect your brain’s attention away from the tinnitus signal and help the natural habituation process to occur so that, over time, you become progressively less aware of your tinnitus symptoms.
The supporting activities which they ask you to engage in will also help you to cope with the day to day emotional impact of your symptoms.
