Vasomotor rhinitis is also known as non-allergic rhinitis. It is defined as a condition in which there is production of watery discharge from the nose that does not have an allergic basis. The conditions that may be associated with vasomotor rhinitis are nasal polyps and rhinosinusitis. Common symptoms are itchy nose, rhinorrhea, sneezing and nasal congestion. There is excessive engorgement of nasal mucosa in vasomotor rhinitis. It can be triggered by certain chemicals, humidity and weather change. Treatment includes humidified air, topical antihistamines and topical corticosteroids
