When I came to visit Cubex I had been living with hearing loss for 36 years and accepted that I would always be hard of hearing. What I didn't realise that I could improve my hearing and I would be able to wear aids so small that no one would notice. As you can imagine I was quite hesitant about coming to see Adam at Cubex as I was sure that there was thing he could do for me, however I couldn't have been more wrong. Having made me feel at ease Adam explained the options that were available for my condition, a hearing test had established that I would benefit from aids, something I thought would never be possible. I wasn't entirely sure that I would feel so comfortable wearing hearing aids as I had never worn them before. But technology has come on so much and aids that I remember my grandfather wearing with a battery pack the size of a box of matches were a thing of the past. My aids were so lightweight that I can hardly feel them in my ears, but the effect of that they have on my hearing is quite remarkable, I can pick up so many sounds that I missed before. My quality of life has improved so much. Without Cubex help and guidance, skill and compassion I don't know where I would be. Hearing loss can make you look like an rude and arrogant person, you miss conversations, you ignore people who talk to you and you are oblivious sometimes to what is happening around you. Cubex has helped me feel part of things.
