Dr Shankar Sridharan is a Consultant Fetal and Paediatric Cardiologist, who practises at Great Ormond Street Hospital and The Harley Street Clinic in London. He is one of a few consultants that specialise in the diagnosis, treatment and on-going care of all types of heart disease affecting babies, children and teenagers (including holes-in-the-heart such as ASD’s and VSD’s, valve problems and all complex forms of structural heart disease).

 

Shankar Sridharan, MBBS, BSc, MRCPCH, qualified as a doctor from Imperial College Medical School (St Mary’s Hospital), London, in 1998. In 2001 he became a Member of theRoyal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, and completed specialist training in Paediatric Cardiology and Congenital Heart Disease in children (CCST) in 2009.

 

Dr Sridharan’s Paediatric Cardiology training was undertaken at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, UK. In 2011, he received an award from the British Medical Association (BMA) for his imaging atlas in Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging. He has completed 2 years of formal sub-specialty training in Fetal Cardiology at Great Ormond Street Hospital, which is renowned for paediatric cardiac excellence.
