Jason Unwin is a specialist of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, graduating from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2003 he now has practises at Wimpole Street Clinic and The Gatefield Clinic in London.

He blends Chinese medical philosophy with the science of western medicine and holistic health to treat a wide range of medical conditions that have failed to respond to conventional western approaches such as musculoskeletal pain, headaches and migraines, anxiety and depression, digestive complaints, exhaustion and chronic fatigue syndrome. Jason specialises in gynaecology and infertility including menstrual and menopausal disorders, recurrent miscarriage and painful periods.

Experienced acupuncturist

After interning for 6 months in two leading Chinese medicine hospitals and completion of a five year Chinese medical degree with Beijing University in 2003, Jason returned to London and wrote a master degree in Complementary Medicine with the School of Integrated Health University of Westminster. 

Alongside Chinese Medicine Jason has a thorough knowledge of western medicine. He studied pharmacology at the University of Portsmouth in 1990 and went on to design and teach the western medicine component of an undergraduate degree in Acupuncture for the London College of Traditional Acupuncture, affiliated to the University of Portsmouth.


Jason believes techniques of integrative medicine contribute to help improve patients ‘well-being’ and ‘quality of life’ for many medical conditions. Advice may be given on a healthy diet, exercise, work, relationships and on strategies for coping with stress in addition to acupuncture and/or Chinese herbal medicine.

    • Immune system disorders and allergy, including chronic fatigue syndrome and MS
    • Integrative cancer care

  • Jason has authored a number of research papers that contribute to the field of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Articles Jason has contributed to include:
